About our Shirts

All of our shirts are premium quality, made in American from the finest ring-spun cotton.  Images are crisp, bright and detailed.  Our shirts are strong and durable and the graphics don't feel thick and restrictive, instead they are soft and pliable.  The shirts nicely contour the body and won't lose length over time from shrinking.  These are the shirts that you like wearing for a long time because they last and still look good.

Our awesome shirts offer reproductions of some of the most iconic golden age axe manufacturers and their art.  Many of the designs include phrases or manufacturer names on the back that coincide with the front image.

About the Art

One of the most intriguing things about the golden age of axes (1850 - 1950) were the hundreds of colorful, and artistic designs.  Names like “Black Raven”, “Lumberman’s Pride”, “Jet Wing” and “Cock of the Woods” were products of creative marketing, designed to stand out in a competitive lumbering landscape.  Our premium line of t-shirts plays homage to the very best of vintage axe advertising.

Ring-Spun VS Regular Cotton

The processes for creating regular cotton and ring-spun cotton are totally different. Regular cotton is made from vegetable fibers that are twisted together to make yarn, which is then woven to make material and less expensive to make.  Ring-spun cotton, on the other hand, is completely different. Ring-spun yarn is made by twisting and thinning the cotton strands to make a very fine, strong, soft rope of cotton fibers. Ring-spun cotton t-shirts are more durable and last longer than their regular counterparts, but cost more to manufacture.

NOTE: Shirt sizes XXL, XXXL and XXXXL are an additional $1, $2 and $3 per shirt.
