HISTORY
Plumb was founded by Fayette R. Plumb in 1887 and the name continues to this day. Throughout the 1900's, Plumb had a strong reputation as one of the best axe and hammer brands. With their iconic red handles and tried & true innovations like permabond and the Take-Up Wedge, Plumb Axes gained a reputation for quality tools.
This very rare "All American" with original Handle was a flashy message to the American consumer that even though Ames Tool was a modern conglomerate, it was keeping it's high quality axe forging within the United States.
This expertly restored, heirloom quality axe instantly turns heads and becomes the go-to conversation piece in your den, office or home. Included with the purchase of the axe is a frame quality writeup about it's history.
