HISTORY
The Mann Edge family axe making dynasty started in the Pennsylvania area in 1770. In 1892 the Mann Edge Tool Company was formed and went on to become the world's largest axe maker.
For over 200 years, Mann Edge flourished as a powerhouse axe maker, eventually absorbing Collins Axe Mfg Co. in 1966 and establishing the popular "Norland" brand of axes. Mann Edge also forged private labels for many companies including Sears and even PLUMB in the later years.
ABOUT THE AXE
The axe looks to have been only lightly used. It was likely owned by a private business owner who never had to put it to full use. The haft is finished with a light wipe of Vintage Axe Oil and the head with a dab of Vintage Axe Wax.
This expertly restored, heirloom quality axe instantly turns heads and becomes the go-to conversation piece in your den, office or home. Included with the purchase of the axe is a frame worthy writeup about it's history.
